Seits - Bertha

Bertha L. Sites (sic-should be Seits) was born April 4, 1884 at Browns Valley and died at the home of William Alward on Howard Street at 4 a.m. May 10. She was the daughter of Henry and Lydia Seits, the mother dying when she was 13 days old. As she grew up a comparative outcast with none to give her needful training and subjected to kicks and cuffs. Her loved ones mourn her departure and only the infinite God understands best. She waits the resurrection of all who sleep to share, the results of Judgment. A short service was held at the home of those with whom she lived, after which the interment took place at Union Cemetery, Rev JJ Fisher officiating.
